Who Are The Beekeepers Behind Happy Go Honey?

Hi! We're Anna and Alex.

In 2022, we moved to a 140-acre farm in central Texas and began beekeeping as part of our agricultural credit. Little did we know what was about to unfold!

In preparation for our new hives, we attended a beekeeping field class from one of the best, Christi Baughman. Christi is a 15-year beekeeping veteran and is well respected for her ability to raise healthy, productive bees. So, as you can imagine, it was a welcome surprise when she asked us to help her with her honey harvest!

For three months, we worked hands-on with her and her partner, Chris McGoven, in North Dakota. The two have been raising bees together for over ten years, keeping them in east Texas for the temperate fall, winter, and spring months, and bringing them to North Dakota for the incredible summer bloom. Because they give their bees the best environment for every season, the hives are super healthy and make TONS of delicious honey!

We loved everything about raising bees and harvesting honey, and we couldn't believe that their amazing honey wasn't being sold directly to consumers. However, it wasn't until we started to uncover the shocking facts about honey in America that we were truly inspired to launch Happy Go Honey.
